What is Hidayah?
Hidayah (means guidance in Arabic) is a registered charity and we are entirely volunteer-led. Hidayah is a secular organisation, however, its projects and activities are developed specifically for the needs of LGBTQI+ Muslims. Our vision is to ensure our voices are heard and understood. Our mission is to provide support and welfare for LGBTQI+ Muslims and promote social justice and education about our community to counter discrimination, prejudice and injustice. We are a mix of practising and non-practising Muslims. As an inclusive charity, we do not exclude anyone, and warmly welcome friends, families, and allies to all of our events.

What Our Members Say About Hidayah:
"These groups provide a safe space to discuss topics and gain support with like-minded people. It's a place to vent and rant without the fear of being judged. It's a safe space to be yourself."
"Everyone in these groups are awesome and will accept you. We are there for one another because there may be many people who don't get the support from their friends or family, or be able to openly discuss certain topics with them."
"In addition to good banter, these groups are useful for those who wish to explore faith and spirituality. It is a platform to share verses
from scriptures, inspiring quotes, stories, and discuss morals and issues that concern LGBT+ people within faith and spirituality."
